These are my ratings, 5 fingers is the best and 1 finger means
not so good. If a book gets a low rating it is most likely means it was not age
appropriate.

My parents and I promise to give our honest opinion of children literature and books
including famous authors like Beatrix Potter, Dr. Seuss, Rosemary Wells, and Don
Freeman. If you are looking for a review on a book that I have not had the

Corduroy by Don Freeman.

CORDUROY

Review of Cordoroy: For my first book review I thought that my first book would be
most appropriate. Family and friends this book is adventurous, mysterious and
lovable. I don't want to give away the ending but be prepared for some Big Hugs.

Parental Rating: Corduroy is a fun lovable book. You will definitly need to work on
your sound effects as you read through Corduroy's adventures. This is a classic and
will be your little one's library for a long long time.

Yoko by Rosemary Wells.

YOKO

Review of Yoko: Yoko was and probably is my Mom's favorite book. It was given to
me as a gift and I love it. We eat quite a bit of sushi in my house and Yoko taught me
quite a bit.

Parental Rating: As Andre's Mom, I of course adore Yoko. I thought it was very
clever and cute. The drawings are great. And if you want your child to learn to
recognize different sushi pieces the front and back pages are great learning tools.

Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown.

GOODNIGHT MOON

Review of Goodnight Moon: Goodnight Moon is my all time favorite. It never gets old
no matter how many times my parents read it to me. I am even to the point now
where I don't need the book to tell the story.

Parental Rating: There are just some books that are a must have, and this is one of
them. We started reading Goodnight Moon to Andre when he was four months old.
At first it was the rhythmic sound that he enjoyed, but as he got older he could
recognize all the little items in the pictures. This book will grow with your child and
keep them interested in reading. One more thing. We highly recommend getting the
board book edition. Your little one won't be able to tear it to shreads (hopefully).

Hop on Pop by Dr. Seuss.

HOP ON POP

Review of Hop on Pop: Hop on Pop by Dr. Seuss is one book I love to read with
my Pop. He doesn't like the actual Hopping on Pop part but we get a kick out of it anyhow.

Andre Jr. Rating:

Parental Rating: Dr. Seuss is great, but this book was just a little too old for Andre.
You might want to start by just reading 7 pages at a time. Or else you will find yourself
reading to yourself. The words are great to start getting your young one to learn
the letters of the alphabet.

Blue's Big Birthday by Angela C. Santomero.

BLUE'S BIG BIRTHDAY

Review of Blue's Big Birthday: Blue's Big Birthday is a very entertaining book. I love
searching for the paw prints. The answer to Blue's Clues is fascinating.

Parental Rating: This is a great addition to your collection of Blue's Clues videos.
Steve, Mr.Salt & Mrs.Pepper, and the whole gang come to celebrate Blue's Birthday.

TURN AND LEARN: LEARN TO SPELL: LEARN TO COUNT

Review of Turn And Learn: I really enjoy moving the hands to figure out what time the
animals are doing their activities. I am starting to get the whole O'Clock thing. By the
way, right now its 20 O'clock.

Parental Rating: As parents we LOVE this book. There are two wheels to change the
first letter of a word and number of iteams you are counting. Andre is so proud of himself
when he gets the word and numbers correct. Be prepared for all times to be 20 o'clock.

What Time Is It Peter Rabbit? by Frederick Warne & Co.

WHAT TIME IS IT, PETER RABBIT?

Review of What Time Is It Peter Rabbit?: What Time Is It Peter Rabbit? is a great
beginners book for learning the hands on the clock, numbers, and of course getting down
that O'Clock business.

Parental Rating: We think that What Time Is It Peter Rabbit? is great for showing
what other kids do at different times of the day. Such as everyone gets dressed in the
morning, eats lunch, runs errands, and yes goes to bed at night. There are even two
pages for your little one to figure out the times when he/she does their activities.
